Long Tan 60th Anniversary – 18th August

The 18th August 2026, marks the 60th anniversary of the battle of Long Tan. A number of members of the 31st and 42nd Battalion served in the Vietnam conflict. Today we honour them and all Vietnam Veterans and remember the terrible battle that became a defining part of Australian’s effort in the Vietnam Conflict.

Around 60,000 Australians served in Vietnam. Far too many returned home to a country that failed to give them the recognition, respect and support they had earned. Many still bear the scars of physical and Mental trauma that was the result of that conflict.
